General.Around 1000 BC little celtic groups started to tack to Galia. This expansion has rised to 300 BC when celts have taken over the most of western Europe. They also mastered turkish teritory England , Ireland and parts of Pyreneyan peninsula. Weak cohesineves and hierarchy of this nation cause that this ascendancy was ended by Caesar’s legions.
The strenght of celts was in iron mastery, so they could make efective weapons.Land owned by celts never became realm.This was caused by their pride from their independence.There used to be lots of battles between the tribes of celts and they even had no ruler at all.The most important tribes were these:Frontalpine Galia(in north Italy),Galia “en braies”(at the coast of Mediteranean sea),Galia “chevelue”(because it’s citizens wear long hair).
Blessed men of all knowledges.The Druids.(The education)
In celtic society the druids had the highest status. They used to be the ultimate leaders of all processes in Galia.Everything what had just a poor importance was dependent on their decision.
The druids had general knowledges.They used to be familiar both in botanic and physics as in music or mathematics.Also their building or blacksmith abilities were strong.Mostly geography was their stong weapon thanks to astrology.Be a student of a druid was privilege just for children from rich , high society.Fundamentally the teching was oral, based on practical aim.Rhetoric used to be the primal part of education which had the function to form future leaders or druids.
Health.
“Sickness is from gods and it’s treatment also.”Druids used to be also healers.Using their botanical skills they were strong enough to have a cure for everyone knockin at their door.Mainly the Mistletoe was the cure for almos everything from poisoning to infertility.
The persuasion.
Celtic religion is yet unknown because no written proofs were found.The archeologists have found hunderets of names for gods , but their names have been found just once.We can think that all theese names are for one god without name , „throughtpresent and omnipotent , god –creator“.Celts venerated him at „full moon“ nights and thought he was the father of the whole celtic tribe.For celtic culture are typical „holy animals“.Celts used to have a lot of friendships with lots of animals but mostly recognited were horse,the hart, and the rooster(now typical sign of France).
