The Commonwealth of Australia is the sixth largest country in the world with an 7 milion kilometres. It has a population of about 17 million .The national emblem of Australia is kangoroo and koala. The capital city is Canberra and the largest city is Sydney. Australia is independent state with own Prime Minister but the Head of State is British Queen. The main currency is the Australian dollar.In a past were the original inhabitants of Australia a people named Aborigines. Aborigians probably came to Australia from Indonesia 50, 000 years ago. Aborigians have a very nice culturebut it step by step die. The Australian goverments give some money for save these people and them culture, but it´s late, now. Today they live less than 1% in whole country.
In 1945 came to Australia a immigrants from Italy, Greece, Yougoslavia, Turkey, Vietnam and Cambodia. Since them became the Australia a country with most foreign nations. The typical Australian it always blond with blue eyed.
The Auatralia is sports country. A surfing is very popular but it´s not a main sport there. A famous is for example bushwalking, fishing, horse ridding, tennis or golf.
Kangoroos, koalas, emus, platypuses or dingos are typical animals in this country. Australia is the world´s biggest exporter of coal and diamonds. One of the most interesting places is Uluru or Ayers Rock.
Most of the people live in a big towns, because most of the country is desert and farmland. Australia is very nice and interesting country.
